Exclusivity

It is neither biblical nor hopeful to suggest that the world is predestined for destruction.
It is neither biblical nor peaceful to live under the shadow of a capricious deity, one who will soon (and very soon) run out of patience.
It is neither biblical nor gracious to raise our children to believe our version of the end justifies our means.

“The end” for Christian eschatology is not necessarily termination of the world, but termination of the way the world operates.
How has the world operated? By way of “us vs them” thinking.
How could the world operate? By way of inclusive love.
It’s weak and insecure theology that conditions us to believe in exclusivity.
