Life changes. Nothing ever stays the same. Though we are parting ways, I'm thankful for the environment The Church of the Nazarene has afforded me to learn, lead, and grow over the years. I'm still at Mission Church and am not going anywhere. Thankfully, things will carry on there, just not as a member of the COTN. God is neither on my side nor their side. I do genuinely hope the COTN will learn to dialogue about all things related to LGTBQ+. They, and all of us, need to decide whether Jesus came to fix us, or Jesus came to reveal God's love. There's a world of contrast (and people) between those two statements. As for me, I choose the latter. I believe all of this thing we call, "life," starts, and ends with God's love. But, to build upon Upton Sinclair, it's almost impossible to get the system to change its mind... especially when so much rides upon the system not changing its mind.
